MY STORY
Eva Hwang is a mixed-race Chinese American writer and producer from Brooklyn, NY. Her mother craved only Chinese food when pregnant, leading her to look quite Asian. Using history as a jumping-off point, she writes stories where multicultures butt heads and characters must carve out their own place in the world. She is the Hour Winner of 2024 BlueCat TV Writing Competition. Her pilots have also been recognized by the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship and Scriptapalooza. Living between LA and NY, she has worked as a Writers' PA for Apple TV+, SK Global, and Westward Productions. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University in 2023 studying English, Film, and Asian American Studies and has worked for A24, Concord Originals, Fair Harbor Productions, and the Asian American Writers’ Workshop. She wishes her life was a musical and hyperfixates on vintage fashion.
